This is a Library of Congress National Peace Officers Memorial Day May 15, 1996 Police Badge. Made by Blackinton.
The Library of Congress Police force will soon be under the jurisdiction of the Capitol Police and cease to exist. Not many of these were made. This badge was never worn and is in very good condition.
Measures: 3"H x 2-5/8"W.
This badge is obsolete and complies with all eBay rules and regulations in that it is of a style no longer in use, more than seventy five years old and/or from an organization that no longer exists. It is of historic value. It is offered as a collectible, intended for display purposes only, carries no police authority and does not resemble any current law enforcement badge.
