Product Information: Candida albicans, a common yeast, is part of the regular flora (bacteria) in the digestive tract. In a normal state, they live in a ratio of about one candida to one million other bacteria. An overgrowth in the gastrointestinal tract of this usually benign yeast (or fungus) has been suggested as the origin of a complex medical syndrome called chronic candidiasis, or Yeast Syndrome.
